Pat'S Shepherds Pie
A comforting shepherd's pie with seasoned chicken, mixed vegetables, creamy mushroom sauce, topped with cheesy mashed potatoes and crispy fried onions, perfect for family dinners.

- In a medium bowl, stir together mashed potatoes, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and half of the French fried onions.
- Spoon the potato mixture into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish, spreading it on the bottom and up the sides to create a shell.
- In another bowl, combine cooked chicken, mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, ground mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Pour the chicken and vegetable mixture into the potato shell.
- Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and French fried onions.
- Return to the oven until the cheese melts and the onions are crispy.
