Peach Preserves Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 (12 oz.) jar peach preserves

Instructions

  1. Cream butter
  2. and
  3. sugar.
  4. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after
  5. each
  6. addition.
  7. Sift
  8. flour, cinnamon, cloves and baking soda
  9. together.
  10. Add
  11. dry ingredients to butter mixture gradually with buttermilk, chopped pecans and peach preserves. When mixed, pour into a greased angel food or Bundt pan.
  12. Bake at 350° for
  13. 1 hour.
  14. You may also use 3 small pans and bake at 350° for
  15. 45 minutes.
  16. This cake freezes well and stays moist a long time.
