Chewy, sweet, and salty peanut butter chip bars combine cake mix, marshmallows, and nuts for a crowd-pleasing dessert perfect for parties or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 18 oz. yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. mini marshmallows
  • 2/3 c. corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 12 oz. peanut butter chips
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 2 c. peanuts

Instructions

  1. Combine the cake mix, margarine, and egg in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 15 to 18 minutes.
  2. Remove from oven and place marshmallows on top. Return to oven for 1 to 2 minutes until marshmallows are puffy.
  3. In a saucepan, melt together corn syrup, butter, vanilla, and peanut butter chips until smooth.
  4. Stir in Rice Krispies and peanuts until well coated.
  5. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the marshmallow layer.
