- Mix thoroughly the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
- In another bowl, combine chopped pears, pear syrup, shredded Cheddar cheese, and oil.
- Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until moistened.
- Turn the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55 to 60 minutes.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool on a wire rack.
- Cool completely before slicing.
