Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 carrots
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the carrots into 1/2-inch slices.
  2. Place the carrots in a 1 1/2-quart casserole with butter and brown sugar.
  3. Cover and microwave for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix cold water and cornstarch until smooth.
  5. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the carrot mixture.
  6. Add pecans, cover, and cook for an additional 6 minutes.
