Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 can tomato juice or consomme
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1 bag corn chips

Instructions

  1. Brown and drain ground beef, onion and garlic.
  2. Set aside and mix tomato sauce, tomato juice, oregano and chili powder.
  3. Set aside and mix kidney beans and corn chips.
  4. Layer 3 mixtures in layers in order listed.
  5. Bake 45 minutes, covered, at 350°. Uncover last 10 minutes.
  6. Top with chips, shredded lettuce and onion and grated cheese.
