Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 8 oz. Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 c. pine nuts, finely chopped and toasted
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. whole pine nuts

Instructions

  1. Beat butter and Parmesan cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended.
  2. Add garlic, toasted pine nuts, chopped fresh basil, and ground red pepper, beating just until blended.
  3. Gradually stir in flour with a spoon until the mixture becomes crumbly; then stir until the mixture is blended and smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Alternatively, gently press the mixture with hands and work until smooth and well combined.
