Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup oleo
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoon corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix flour with baking soda in a large bowl.
  2. Beat sugar with oleo with an electric mixer at high speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, then add spices and corn syrup, blending well.
  4. At low speed, stir in flour, 1 cup at a time, until well mixed.
  5. Cover dough and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
