Philly-Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 6 hoagie buns, split and toasted
  • 1 1/4 lb. thinly sliced roast beef
  • 12 slices cheese (Cheddar and/or Swiss)

Instructions

  1. Saute onions in margarine until tender.
  2. Stack beef and onions on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  3. Cut cheese slices in half and place 4 halves on top of each sandwich.
  4. Place the sandwiches under a broiler until the cheese is melted.
  5. Top each sandwich with the remaining bun.
  6. Serve with chips and pickle strips.
