Ingredients

  • 12 pigs feet, split in half lengthwise
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 large onions, thickly sliced
  • 6 stalks celery with leaves, cut into chunks
  • 10 to 12 whole black peppercorns
  • 4 c. cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, split
  • 3 Tbsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Have the butcher split the pigs feet for you.
  2. Then scrub each one until super clean.
  3. Put the pigs feet and all other ingredients in a large pot and cover with cold water.
  4. Cover tightly and bring to a boil over high heat.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer slowly for 3 to 4 hours or until fork-tender.
  6. Be prepared to dine!
