- Line a 12 x 8 x 3-inch pan with half the wafer crumbs.
- Cream the butter and confectioners sugar well.
- Add the beaten eggs one at a time; mix well.
- Spread the batter over the wafer crumbs in the pan, sealing well to prevent pineapple juice from draining through.
- Drain the crushed pineapple and add it to the whipped cream.
- Spread the pineapple and cream mixture over the batter in the pan.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the cream layer.
- Top with remaining wafer crumbs.
- Let stand in the refrigerator for 24 hours, or at least overnight before serving.
