Pizza Horns

Ingredients
- 2 loaves (1 lb. each) frozen bread dough ⓘ
- all-purpose flour ⓘ
- olive oil
- 14 oz. pizza sauce ⓘ
- 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese ⓘ
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 1 green pepper, minced ⓘ
- 2 to 3 oz. pepperoni, minced or chopped ⓘ
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten ⓘ
Instructions
- Thaw frozen bread in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each loaf into a circle about 10 inches in diameter.
- If the dough is difficult to roll, pat or stretch it with your hands until it is 1/4-inch thick.
- Brush the surface of each dough circle with olive oil.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each circle into 8 triangles or wedges.
- Generously spread each wedge with pizza sauce mixed with oregano and garlic powder, leaving about 1/4-inch margin on each side.
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced green pepper, and chopped pepperoni over the sauce.
- Starting from the wide end, roll up each triangle into a crescent shape.
- Curve the ends of the crescents to form a more rounded shape.
- Place the crescents on lightly oiled baking sheets.
- Brush the tops of the crescents with lightly beaten egg white.
- Sprinkle with additional oregano or Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Bake at 450°F for about 15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.
