Ingredients

  • 1 box spaghetti
  • 1 pt. ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (27.5 oz) can sauce
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 green pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti as directed on box, drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook chopped onion and green pepper until tender.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook thoroughly.
  4. Pour in the sauce and simmer the mixture for a few minutes.
  5. Mix ricotta cheese with cooked spaghetti.
  6. Combine the ricotta-spaghetti mixture with the cooked meat and sauce mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  7. Pour half of the mixture into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  8. Layer slices of provolone cheese over the first layer.
  9. Pour in the remaining mixture and add another layer of cheese on top.
  10. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven until the cheese starts to bubble, about 20-25 minutes.
