Perfect Pasta Supper

Creamy and cheesy pasta with a rich butter and egg yolk sauce, topped with mozzarella and Parmesan. Perfect for a comforting family dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. fettucini or linguini, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
  • 1/2 c. whipping or heavy cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. finely minced onion
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. (2 oz.) grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium-low heat.
  2. Stir in cream, egg yolks, minced onion, nutmeg, salt, and pepper until well blended. Do not boil.
  3. Stir in shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses until melted.
  4. Add cooked and drained pasta, stirring until thoroughly blended.
  5. Spoon immediately onto warmed serving plates and sprinkle with ham.
