- Blend sugar, butter, and flour to form a dough.
- Pat and press the dough into a 13 x 9-inch (33 x 23 cm) baking pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes and then cool.

- Mix coconut flakes, chopped nuts, brown sugar, eggs, and flour in a bowl.
- Spread this mixture over the jam layer.
- Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool completely and sprinkle with confectioners sugar before serving.
