Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups chopped dates
  • 1 cup cool water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat soft butter, sugar, and eggs until creamy.
  3. Sift flour and baking soda, then gradually stir into the butter mixture.
