Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix together the sugar, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, and salad oil until well blended.
  2. Add the pumpkin and water, then mix until smooth.
  3. Grease and flour three 1-pound coffee cans or two loaf pans.
  4. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
