Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 bags popped microwave popcorn
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Butter a large, shallow pan with sides; put aside.
  2. Combine popcorn and nuts in a large bowl.
  3. Combine margarine, sugar, and corn syrup in a 2-quart saucepan.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  6. Quickly pour syrup mixture over popcorn; gently stir to coat evenly.
  7. Spread in buttered pan to cool.
  8. Cool completely. Break into bite-sized pieces.
