Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 diced bell pepper
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice

Instructions

  1. Saute diced bell pepper and onion until tender.
  2. Add ground beef; cook until browned.
  3. Add tomato sauce and chili powder to the mixture.
  4. Add rice and 1 to 1 1/2 cups water; stir to combine.
  5. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir occasionally during cooking.
