Juicy pork chops baked with peppers, onions, stewed tomatoes, and Italian seasoning create a flavorful, hearty dish perfect for family dinners and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 15 oz. cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the pork chops.
  2. Brown the pork chops in butter and place them in an ovenproof casserole.
  3. Cover the chops with chopped green peppers, sliced onions, and minced garlic.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the vegetables.
  5. Add stewed tomatoes on top.
  6. Cover the casserole and bake in a 350°F oven for 50 minutes.
  7. Uncover and continue baking for an additional 40 minutes.
  8. Add mozzarella cheese 10 minutes before removing from the oven.
