Delicious Chinese-style pork hash filled with savory flavors, complemented by fresh herbs and oyster sauce, perfect for a hearty snack or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • chung-cho (salted turnip), chopped
  • a few sprigs of Chinese parsley, chopped
  • 3-4 Tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 3-4 Tbsp. shoyu
  • wonton wrappers
  • vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients except the wonton wrappers into a bowl and mix just enough to combine.
  2. Place one tablespoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Bring the edges up to form a cup, sealing the filling inside.
  4. Coat the bottom and sides of a steaming pan with a little vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the filled wontons in the steamer and steam for about 30-45 minutes.
  6. Use a rice cooker or steaming setup for best results.
