Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 lb. pork loin
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the pork loin roast fat side up in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and insert a meat thermometer without touching bone or fat.
  2. Combine water, vinegar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, dry mustard, brown sugar, salt, crushed red pepper, and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the roast.
  4. Bake uncovered at 325°F for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the thermometer reaches 170°F, basting frequently with pan drippings.
  5. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve the pork with the remaining sauce.
