Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced celery
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup onion bouillon
  • 4 oz. onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium peppers, cut in strips
  • 2 Tbsp. sherry extract
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 pimentos, cut in triangles
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 lb. pork, cooked and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sliced celery, sliced mushrooms, onion bouillon, chopped onion, sliced peppers, sherry extract, soy sauce, salt, pepper, ginger, and nutmeg.
  2. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes or until onions and celery are tender but still crisp.
  3. Add cooked, thinly sliced pork and cut pimentos to the saucepan.
  4. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Cook for 3 minutes longer or until hot.
  6. Serve the mixture over cooked rice.
