Tips & Substitutions

For a smoky depth, consider adding a splash of liquid smoke to the pork mixture. You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for lean ground pork if desired. If fresh peas are unavailable, frozen peas work perfectly. Ensure you dissolve the cornstarch thoroughly to avoid clumping in the stir-fry. This dish also pairs well with other Chinese recipes, enhancing your meal variety.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the pork with smoked oysters in the chilled lettuce leaves as a fresh appetizer or light main dish. Pair with steamed jasmine rice or a side of sautéed vegetables for a complete meal. This dish also goes well with a light soy sauce or a tangy dipping sauce for added flavor.

Storage & Reheating

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm in a skillet over medium heat until heated through, adding a splash of water if needed to maintain moisture. Avoid microwaving for best texture results.
