Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can refried beans
  • 2/3 c. water or beer
  • 4 oz. shredded Provolone cheese
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. chili powder
  • dash of hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts and mixture is thoroughly heated.
  3. Transfer mixture to a chafing dish; serve with taco chips.
