Ingredients

  • 6.5 oz. container pretzel twists
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Position the knife blade in the food processor bowl; add pretzels, Parmesan cheese, and dried parsley flakes.
  2. Process until pretzels resemble fine crumbs. Place the crumbs in a large, heavy-duty, Zip-top plastic bag and set aside.
  3. Combine the flour, paprika, salt, pepper, and ground ginger in a medium bowl.
  4. Stir in beer and the lightly beaten egg into the flour mixture to make a batter.
  5. Dip each chicken piece into the batter, then place in the pretzel crumbs bag, shaking to coat thoroughly.
  6. Place the coated chicken pieces on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
