Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (10 oz) package cream of chicken soup
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 (12 1/2 oz) can tuna, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups Minute rice
  • 2 Tbsp minced parsley
  • 1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until tender, not browned.
  3. Stir in cream of chicken soup, milk, and pepper; bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in drained tuna, cooked rice, and minced parsley.
  5. Cover and remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds if desired and serve.
