Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. prune juice
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. cooked prunes
  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients and pour into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake at 350° until done.
  4. Remove cake from the oven and top with 2 teaspoons sugar mixed with the juice of an orange to make 1/3 cup.
  5. Put on top of the cake while warm.
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle on top, if desired.
  7. Cool and cut into squares.
  8. Serve with Cool Whip.
