Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup liquid shortening
  • 2 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups pumpkin, cooked
  • 2 1/3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup pecans, ground

Instructions

  1. Grease 2 loaf pans.
  2. Mix the eggs, liquid shortening, sugar, and cooked pumpkin until well combined.
  3. Add the self-rising flour, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and ground pecans; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
