Ingredients

  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix with dates.
  2. Bake in a 9 x 9-inch pan, greased and floured, in 350° oven for about 35 minutes.
