Ingredients

  • 1 jar Healthy Choice spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can Italian tomatoes
  • garlic powder
  • Italian seasonings
  • oregano
  • onion powder
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1 can mushrooms (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix spaghetti sauce and Italian tomatoes in a pot, adding spices to taste.
  2. Cut green pepper and add to the sauce.
  3. Add mushrooms if desired.
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook until bubbly, then reduce to low heat.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, cook chicken breasts in a frypan with 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil until browned on both sides and cooked through.
  6. Using a nonstick pan is recommended.
  7. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and allow to simmer together for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the sauce over your favorite pasta and place the chicken on top.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
