Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2/3 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fat
  • 1/2 to 1 pound leftover meat, cubed
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces noodles or thin macaroni

Instructions

  1. Brown the chopped onion, garlic, and celery in hot fat.
  2. Add the leftover meat; brown lightly.
  3. Add the condensed tomato soup, water, salt, and pepper; simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
  4. Cook the macaroni until tender and drain.
  5. Place the cooked macaroni on a platter or serving dish.
  6. Pour the meat sauce over the macaroni.
  7. Optional: sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
