Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce or 1 quart tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cups macaroni

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef slightly in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped onion, celery, and green pepper to the meat and cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Add tomato sauce or canned tomatoes and a small can of tomato paste for color and flavor.
  4. Set the meat and vegetable mixture aside.
  5. Boil 2 cups of macaroni in salted water until tender.
  6. Drain the macaroni and add it to the meat and vegetable mixture.
  7. Simmer everything together for 15 minutes before serving.
