Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a Dutch oven or large pan.
  2. Add chopped celery, onion, cabbage, and green pepper; stir in raw rice.
  3. Add tomato paste, water, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  4. Heat the mixture to boiling.
  5. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 25 minutes until cooked through.
