A quick, cheesy tuna noodle casserole with creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner that combines comforting flavors with ease of preparation.

Ingredients

  • 1 large can tuna
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 can milk
  • thin-sliced Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pour off water from the cooked noodles and stir in butter.
  3. Add tuna (with oil if not dieting), cream of mushroom soup, and milk to the noodles.
  4. Stir until well mixed. Place the mixture back on medium heat, stirring often until heated through.
  5. Lay slices of Cheddar cheese on top of the mixture.
  6. Put the lid on the pan and heat again until the cheese melts.
