- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Coat rabbit pieces with flour.
- In an ovenproof 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot oil and butter, cook rabbit, a few pieces at a time, until browned on all sides.
- Remove browned rabbit pieces to a platter.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until tender.
- Return rabbit to the skillet with cooked onions and garlic.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Pour in milk and sour cream, stirring to combine.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour or until rabbit is tender.
- Serve hot with your choice of side dishes.
