Ingredients

  • 2 cups raisins
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 3/4 cups oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cook raisins in water until the water is absorbed.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together.
  3. Add oatmeal, baking soda, and flour; mix well.
  4. Put half of the batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine egg yolks, sour cream, sugar, and cornstarch; mix well.
  6. Stir and boil until thick.
  7. Add raisins and vanilla to the mixture.
  8. Pour the raisin filling over the baked crust.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top.
  10. Bake for an additional 30 minutes at 350°F.
