Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
  • 1 (6 oz.) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 1/2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and margarine together and press into a 7 1/2 x 12 inch glass baking dish.
  2. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool completely.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Fold in half of the 9 oz. Cool Whip.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  6. In a separate bowl, prepare the instant chocolate pudding mix with 2 1/2 cups of milk according to package instructions.
  7. Let the pudding set for a few minutes.
  8. Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Top with the remaining Cool Whip.
