Raisin Easter Egg Nests

- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour, the sugar, salt, and yeast.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine milk, water, butter or margarine, grated orange peel, and nutmeg.
- Heat to very hot (120° to 130°F). Butter need not melt completely.
- Stir the milk mixture into the yeast mixture and beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl as needed.
- Add 3 eggs and 1 more cup of flour. Beat at high speed for 3 minutes.
- Stir in raisins and enough of the remaining flour to make a soft dough.
- Turn onto a floured board and knead for 8 to 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Form the dough into a ball and place in a greased bowl.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled in size, about 1 hour.
