Ingredients

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or almonds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins

Instructions

  1. Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, then add oil and mix thoroughly.
  3. Spray a cookie sheet and spread the mixture evenly on it.
  4. Bake at 300°F, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.
  5. Remove from oven and stir in raisins.
  6. Allow to cool, then store in a closed container.
