Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean stew beef meat
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce with onions
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 c. sliced celery

Instructions

  1. Coat the beef with flour and salt.
  2. Brown the beef in oil in a skillet.
  3. Add hot water and tomato sauce with onions to the skillet.
  4. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Add sliced carrots and celery, then simmer for an additional 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender and meat is done.
