Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef or pork
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 stalks celery
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup uncooked rice

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into cubes and fry until brown in butter.
  2. Finely chop the onion, green pepper, and celery; add to the meat.
  3. Fry until the onion is soft.
  4. Add water and uncooked rice to the pan.
  5. Cover and cook until the rice is done.
  6. Add more water if necessary during cooking.
