Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup soft shortening
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Add milk to Rice Krispies and let stand until soft.
  2. When soft, add egg and shortening; beat well.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  4. Combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
  5. Fill greased muffin pan with the batter.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 25 minutes.
