Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1 package Lipton noodle soup mix
  • 1/2 cup Minute rice
  • 1 small jar pimento, chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms, chopped
  • almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger, green pepper, onion, and celery together in a frypan.
  2. In a 2 1/2 to 3-quart covered casserole, dissolve the Lipton noodle soup mix in hot water.
  3. Add the cooked hamburger mixture to the casserole.
  4. Stir in the Minute rice, chopped pimento, and chopped mushrooms.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  6. Add almonds if desired before serving.
  7. Serve with soy sauce at the table.
