Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 box vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 carton Cool Whip
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 small bag shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the box instructions and allow it to cool.
  2. Bring the crushed pineapple and sugar to a boil in a saucepan.
  3. Pour vanilla over the pineapple and sugar mixture after the cake has cooled.
  4. Mix Cool Whip and sour cream together and spread over the cooled cake.
  5. Cover the top with pecans and shredded coconut.
  6. Decorate with cherries before serving.
