Instructions
- Peel and slice or chunk cucumbers and onions.
- Let stand overnight in a brine of salt and water.
- Pour off the brine in the morning.
- Make a sauce with sugar, turmeric, celery seed, cayenne pepper, flour, vinegar, and pimentos or red pepper.
- Add the cucumbers and onions to the sauce.
- Cook the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes after it comes to a boil.
- Pack the hot mixture into jars and seal.
