Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, shortening, and peanut butter.
  2. Gradually add sugar and mix well.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  4. Sift dry ingredients (flour, soda, salt) and blend into the mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate morsels and salted peanuts.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 10 to 15 minutes.
  8. Avoid overcooking.
