Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 pound margarine softened
  • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese grated
  • heavy dash of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Pinch off enough dough to make a ball.
  3. Flatten the dough slightly without rolling out.
  4. Place on an ungreased pan and bake at 350°F for 15 to 18 minutes until light brown around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle warm biscuits with sifted confectioners' sugar before serving.
