Ingredients

  • 1 c. boneless sardines, drained
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. cream
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 chopped scallions
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce

Instructions

  1. Mash the sardines with a fork.
  2. Mix the mashed sardines with the chopped hard-boiled egg, lemon juice, cream, dry mustard, mayonnaise, chopped scallions, pepper, and Tabasco sauce.
  3. Spoon or mound the mixture onto a serving dish.
  4. Garnish with black olives.
  5. Serve on toasted rounds, onion, or other crackers.
