Ingredients

  • 2 (1 lb.) packages pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 2 1/2 cups Pepperidge Farm croutons
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage and onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray (e.g., Pam).
  3. Spread the croutons evenly on the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add the cooked sausage and onion mixture over the croutons; sprinkle with shredded cheese, reserving half a cup for topping if desired.
  5. In a bowl, beat the eggs with milk and dry mustard until well combined.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese and sausage in the pan.
  7. Refrigerate the casserole overnight before baking.
